We started somewhere.
The 2nd wall stormers.
The Gate opened. the Guards ready with pikes and halberds, the few zombies directly at the gate were dispatched. The heroes.. five, stepped forward, armoured, sharp weapons, spiked maces, they were honed fighters. Hacking and slashing at the horde, they grew tired. The Knight was pulled in first, his armour too heavy, the Barbarian clawed at too often, was dragged in next. they called the gate to be shut. The ranger pulling back, the Rogue stabbing furiously, he held out too long, the portcullis gave way, crushed him to the ground. NO!. the mage was outside the gate..
KABOOM. the ranger and all the guards thrown back.. what was that.. a spell gone wrong? the street lined with guts, hundreds of zombies destroyed..
The town officials glanced at each other.. as the gate were being shut, that orphanage with those kids.. the ones with strange magical glowing eyes.. surely not..
